Best of the Pines 2021
In early 2021, I was approached by the amazing Best of the Pines team over at The Pilot Newspaper here in Southern Pines. We embarked on a months-long project together to create a banner image, eight icons, and eventually a magazine cover to advertise this fun campaign. Each year, the community votes for the “Best of” in so many categories. It’s a great way to celebrate local businesses, services, and organizations. We wanted to create images that reflected the unique features of our community and really highlight what makes us special. These images rolled out on their website, in a marketing kit that was distributed to all the nominees, and in print ads. Finally, my artwork appeared on the magazine cover that announced all the winners. This was a big project that I am very proud to have been a part of!
Woodland creatures add a touch of whimsy! The dog is based on Sundi’s lab, Dodge.
Mockingbird on Broad
In 2019, Sundi McLaughlin, owner of Mockingbird on Broad, asked me to help her redesign her shop bags. We worked together to recreate her iconic storefront in four different sizes. Take a peek at her online store.
